Death to the Japs!

Back to Contents

An early-morning barrage from Navy ships floating offshore of some little God-forsaken Pacific island is an open invitation to the island’s defenders to join a good old-fashioned United States Marine Corps beach party (please notify next of kin before attending). Of course, the party needs appropriate music. This selection may be sung to the melody of "Joy to the World!".

Death to the Japs! They’re in our sights.

Let ev’ry bullet count.

Let’s swarm onto their island’s beach

and blast all their defenses.

And make defenders die!

And make defenders die!

And so we make Tojo’s bug-eyed monkeys die!

Death to the Japs! They lost the fight.

The island now is ours.

The Japs just won’t surrender.

They’d rather kill themselves.

So now we watch them die!

So now we watch them die!

So now we watch Tojo’s bug-eyed monkeys die!

Death to the Japs! The war is won!

And Tojo now must hang.

For crimes against Humanity

and horrible atrocities.

So now he meets his end!

So now he meets his end!

So now the head bug-eyed monkey meets his end!

Note: the phrase "Tojo’s bug-eyed monkeys" comes from a line in "The Sands of Iwo Jima". Sometimes Marines can be downright rude!
